Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed to be among the top gymnasts. She was the first female gymnast from America ever to win four gold medals during a single Games. In Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to ever win consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles as well as her siblings Adria as well as her brother Ronald Biles were taken in as infants by their grandparents from Houston. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics when she was just six in a day-care field excursion at Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years, under the direction of her instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles achieved a silver medal at vaulting in the year 2010 as well as a bronze at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She then moved up to elite-level competitions in the year 2011. Two years after that, Biles dominated the sport. What set Biles apart was her consistency her fun-loving personality, as well as the level of difficulty she incorporated into her routines throughout the four events she competed in: vault uneven bars balance beam and floor exercises.
